Please join our upcoming in-person event, taking place on Saturday October 4th, to kick off Menopause Awareness Month – Harness the Magic and Power of Menopause: Discover Your Menopower. This event is for every woman—whether you’re preparing for, in the midst of, or moving through menopause—wherever you are on your menopause journey. Come with your questions, leave with clarity and support.
UPELLE has partnered with Let’s Talk Menopause and Dr. Heidi at Energize Health and Hormones, with the generous support of Future Allies, to make this happen. Check out the invitation and link to register HERE. Together, we’ll explore some of the physical, emotional, and mental shifts that take place during this important life stage through insightful talks and Q&A sessions with four women’s health experts.
Each person will have the opportunity to get an InBody scan, which measures body composition, providing detailed information about body fat, including visceral fat (the inflammatory fat around the organs), skeletal muscle mass, and water weight.
Dr. Heidi Queen will be there to discuss the InBody scan results and answer questions about menopause. Dr. Heidi Queen is a compassionate, Menopause Society Certified Practitioner with over 25 years of global medical experience. Trained in both Functional and Western Medicine, she is helping women navigate menopause with confidence at her new clinic, Energize Health and Hormones. Combining holistic and traditional care, Dr. Queen offers a comprehensive, personalized approach to improve health and well-being during this transformative phase of life. With a background from Stanford, UCSF, and two decades of practice in the Bay Area, she’s dedicated to empowering women to be energized, informed and revitalized.
Dr. Cierra Whatley, a licensed psychologist, will be presenting on mental health; Dr. Karen Hodges, a physical therapist and pelvic floor expert, will be talking about pelvic floor health; and Carrie Kostiner will be presenting on the science of, and strategies for improving sleep.
To keep the vibe intimate, this event is limited to 20 women. There will be two presentations running simultaneously, with 10 women in each room (then we’ll switch), so that everyone has a chance to ask questions and connect with each other.
There are scholarships available! Please email Carrie at carriekostiner@gmail.com if you are interested in a scholarship.
